Very nice business lunch. Good service. All 3 of us had an interesting chicken sandwich with tomato-cheddar cheese soup. Both very tasty. The booths are particularly good for people.

For Businesses. Write a Review. I Had to find a gastropub with some options. Beer selection was decent and daily specials. I ordered the Bacon Lobster Tomato sandwich with the tomato cheese soup. WOW was it delicious for a chilly November evening. Wife had the vegan stuffed squash which she inhaled, youngest had the house burger which he said was incredible.
My sister and her husband shared a salad and impossible burger. Great meal well Menu and food provide bigger city feels, but the service doesn't live up to everything else. Good option for date night and business meals. Poor option for kids.
Tip: Website doesn't say much, but if you're in casual clothes, you may feel underdressed. I have been here three times All three times, the food was good to great. Must try: - Flatbreads; stellar app! Would have preferred the tomato by itself. He was the only child there on a weekday early evening.
Our waitress seemed irritated we were at her table from the moment we sat down. And of course, he had one of his roughest dinners out. I went in fully expecting a star experience and was completely blown away.
This is the kind of 5-star place that makes me rethink some of my other 5-star reviews because it was that good. I ordered the ruby salty dog martini for my first drink. It was a generous pour and perfectly salty and citrus-y. We had a hard time with the menu because there was almost nothing we didn't want to try. They were so delicious and filling and perhaps my drink was a bit strong that I almost forgot it wasn't the main course. The candied pork belly and chive sour cream worked so well. Speaking of ordering again, I had another ruby salty dog because I was in such a good mood from how freakin enjoyable this entire meal was.
I didn't really talk about the atmosphere yet but we had a nice little booth in the corner near the bar. Low lighting throughout created a nice ambiance and our server was super professional and checked on us just the right amount. It hasn't even been a week since our visit and we already can't wait to go back.
I sincerely hope the construction nightmare that is downtown Akron doesn't negatively impact this amazing spot. Parking in the Market Parking Deck SW corner of High and Market, 1 min walk was free this particular evening - don't know how often it's like that but even paying for parking is worth it for this gem!
I did not like any of my food except the sweet potato fries. Flavor was lacking all over. The goat cheese dip had a very pungent taste to the cheese and the marinara sauce was bland but sour at the same time.
The cornflake crusted chicken was tender but lacked flavor - the mustard was all over and messy and literally tasted like sour mayo. The atmosphere was nice - we just got served by the bartender although we were at a table. She was nice but came around sparingly. Limited parking as it is downtown. The sign isn't clearly read at night on the outside. I almost wanted to order something else but the wait was too long.
The bread that came with the goat cheese was also tasty but full of oil and very hard. Great find in Akron! We ordered the fried alligator to share as an appetizer, and this was like buffalo chicken but deliciously chewy. I also got the kale and beet salad, and this was delicious and a huge portion. My coworker got the scallops dish, which was also tasty as well. Nice clean big restaurant, and service was fine. Our server Esther was prompt, pleasant competent and knowledgeable- without being phony or aggressive on the sell, and I really like that.
Cocktails were nicely done, including the dessert drinks. I appreciate that the menu is not expansive but with an apparent focus on managing a moderate amount of offerings quite well. The Charcuterie board was very nice with some unique tastes. The seared ahi tuna was as good as I have had- well presented with great sides. Atmosphere was nice. I was not crazy about the location of my table in the bar, and with a reservation that was called in 2 days prior, I would have thought I'd be offered a more comfortable arrangement.
OK, Crave, I see you. I don't get out to Akron often, but my Mom and I were in the area to see a film at The Nightlight and wanted to grab a bite nearby, so we chose Crave based on its proximity and overall high ratings.
Knowing little about Akron, we trusted the Yelp reviews We were very pleasantly surprised by Crave. The menu prices were reasonable, the menu had a great diversity of dishes and the food was excellent. The chicken was tender and juicy and the waffle was fluffy and made with delicious batter. We also split a hard root beer float that was the most oddly satisfying root beer float I've ever had.
Crave offers valet parking or you may get lucky and find a street spot, but there's no nearby parking lots to my knowledge. The lighting is super dim so it doesn't make for great photos or menu reading. Have your camera flashlight ready! You'll know you're nearby when you see their colorful and cute chalk? We'll be back the next time we go to The Nightlight!
Horrible service. Management didn't give a rats behind either. We had a large party, waited for almost 2 hours just to get a drink! We left before the food came. Looking at the menu, was very excited to eat here, but after having to go to the bar to get our own drinks for 1.
Excellent food and service. Scallops are exceptional. Only negative is when there is live music you can't hear across your table Great selection if unique food! We had the tomato cheese soup which was very unique and resembled a grilled cheese dipped in tomato sauce. I also got the gouda mac and cheese with the blacked chicken. The chicken was cooked and flavored really well. Theres a small kick to the seasoning from the sriracha, but nothing I couldn't handle.
The mach and cheese was creamy and went very well with the chicken. I had such a big portion, I ate only half and took the rest to go. My friend got the coffee and sugar bbq brisket, which is really liked. It was a little bit overcooked but still flavorful. The peach jalapeno sauce definitely had a kick to it, spicier than the blackened chicken. But all of their dishes here were definitely unique.
It was packed and in the heart of downtown! The baked goat cheese appetizer was very good. Also liked the ahi tuna which was nicely encrusted and sitting on sushi rice. Not a bad selection, if you want to choose a healthy option. There are better tasting choices on the menu, however. Not cheap but certainly delicious and well presented. The menu offers a nice variety of dishes.
I've eaten here three times when visiting Akron and each time I was very pleased. I'll be thinking about it for a while. My husband had the white flatbread with soft egg and sausage. He rather enjoyed it. If you're looking for a fine dining experience in downtown Akron, this is the spot. The atmosphere was modern and intimate. For their open floor they had a sheer white curtain separating a high traffic walkway from the tables, which I thought was an awesome subtle touch.
Their light fixtures doubled as artwork.
