I've never heard of PaidaLajin before getting this book, but I use herbs for healing and have good success with them.
I'm always looking for things I can do to limit my need for doctors. I'm only giving this 3 stars rather than a higher number because I don't have personal experience that it works.
Next time I have one of the issues this book says PaidaLajin can heal I'll give it a try. I also believe that there is a lot of wisdom in older healing traditions and healing traditions beyond what we I've never heard of PaidaLajin before getting this book, but I use herbs for healing and have good success with them.
I also believe that there is a lot of wisdom in older healing traditions and healing traditions beyond what we in the West are familiar with, so I'm willing to be open minded. I think that stimulating blood flow to certain parts of the body can probably by itself work wonders, so this seems like it could work. May 10, KeeperOfTheTrees rated it liked it. Being a medical professional, you have to be open-minded when it comes to new technologies and practices.
You also have to be able to recognize when something is a substitute for medical treatment or an added therapy. I believe this book walks a fine line between describing 'slapping therapy' as a substitute for medical treatments and medications versus an added therapy to relieve symptoms. This book goes into great detail about the body's ability to self-heal, which is remarkable. However, I fi Being a medical professional, you have to be open-minded when it comes to new technologies and practices.
However, I first became hesitant with this book when the author focused on the negative side effects of medication therapy to treat diseases, such as diabetes. I do not believe 'slapping therapy' has more of a positive effect than medications used to treat this disease, and interpreting information such as this in the wrong way could be dangerous. I feel like this practice could be useful if performed in the right setting with the proper knowledge.
May 23, Megan L. This book is about ridding your body of any and all diseases through a Chinese technique called PaidaLajin. Paida is basically the action of slapping oneself or someone else at a tolerable level. Lajin is the action of stretching certain body parts to aid in proper bone structure and flexibility.
Both of these actions are meant to keep a natural healthy energy flowing. It is also meant to promote blood flow to rid the body of any blockages, which could be causing sickness.
I honestly did not kno This book is about ridding your body of any and all diseases through a Chinese technique called PaidaLajin. I honestly did not know what to expect when starting this book.
I personally prefer to try and naturally heal myself first. I had never heard of such a thing before. There was a section that I enjoyed. The author was basically talking about sicknesses, such as Type 2 diabetes and how doctors prescribe medication to control your blood sugar. I found that to be quite interesting. It was definitely interesting to read about though.
May 25, Nicole Klein rated it really liked it. Prior to reading this book I had never heard of the practice of PaidaLajin, so it was initially quite shocking for me to read about.
The book does go into great detail about the importance and benefits of these techniques to your overall health as well as specific recommendations for any type of ailment i. Menstrual pain, Diabetes, Common Colds, etc. I do see where this technique Prior to reading this book I had never heard of the practice of PaidaLajin, so it was initially quite shocking for me to read about. I do see where this technique could be beneficial, and don't doubt that it has helped people.
I however, would not be able to perform Paida on myself, and struggle with the idea of using this technique in emergency scenarios. I also struggle with believing the concept of "Sha". This is referring to the color of the skin after Paida. Reportedly not from broken blood vessels, but rather from toxic substances decomposing and being removed. It may be true that toxins are being removed, I however believe that the color is from trauma to the tissue bruising.
I did enjoy reading about Paida, as I do practice Yoga and feel the concept is similar. Overall this is a very educational book on this Chinese Medicine practice. May 29, Amanda Rader rated it really liked it. This was the first time that I had heard of this practice and found it very interesting.
I liked how the author discussed the integral parts of the body and how each section of the body is responsible for different things. I also believe that because this book focuses on natural ways of healing versus the more modern forms of treatment to include medicine and surgery, that this can sway readers who are more prone to modern medicine.
I thought that this book was very detailed with its information of how to perform Paida Lajin and the benefits that it can have. I found it very interesting to read about the slapping technique of healing while also including the stretching techniques used in the Lajin. There were a few repetitive sections of the book but overall I thought that it was informative in the methods and also included the pictures to help instruct how to perform the exercises.
I also loved how they included information on how important it is to heal the body from the inside out and how much nutrition can play an important role in that. May 25, Jayne rated it really liked it.
